Set Apart
Set apart
I hope no one has held their breath waiting for me to write a new blog! :)I've been extremely busy with the internship, and loving every second of it. yes, it was one of the wisest decisions I have made in my life. I can not put into words here what all the Lord has done in the past few months. My paradigms are being switched. I am seeing things from eternity's perspective more. I realize how little I know God, and how desperatly I need Him. More than I even knew before. I am learning about cultivating my heart, to be a dwelling place for the presence of God. For we are His temple. Living, walking temples, and I want to be a place that He can abide in me with all His fullness. I am beginning to dream again, and the Lord has been speaking to me in the night. And in the day time.
I truly want to live a life worthy of the calling. I want to live my greatest destiny, to walk in the fullness of the calling God has for me as His daughter and saint. That means waging war against sins. That means seperating oneself from the ways of the world, for the ways that our culture has said and accepted as "normal".
The thing is, it doesn't matter what anyone says except God! There is so much deception going on, that it really just overwhelms me, when I read the word of God, and then look out at the condition of our world. We are headed for more trouble, things are not going to get better! That should shake everyone to the core, and get on their faces in repentence before God. But we have created a culture of escapism, of complacency. Instead of taking that inner cue of disturbance as a doorway into entering into relationship with God, and repenting and getting right with him, people pick up their cell phone, go watch the television, go do something, anything in order to numb themselves from reality. And if we are living in the end times, which I believe more and more to be the case, how much more do we need to WAKE UP, get up off of our couch's and get on our face before the HOLY God and repent for our sins and the sins of our nation.
There is something wrong with the picture, that there are church's on every corner in america, and abortion is legal... among other injustices... I'm stirred about the issue of abortion though. It's murder. There is blood, innocent blood on our land. Blood that has not been repented of. The voices of those babies cry out to God every day for justice as they are being murdered in the womb. We need to get a message of LIFE back in the pulpit. And holiness. This just disturbs me. It should disturb all of us. God's eyes see these murders.
His eyes go to and fro through out the earth, nothing is hidden from His sight. There is such deception, people think they can do their "secret sins" and that it's okay. God sees it, and He's the one judging. We do have to give an account at the end of our lives. Doesn't this shake anyone?
We need to be living holy, set apart for His purposes. I desire to be one that is set apart for Christ. Do you?
Oh, that we would come to know Him now while things are still bearable... that in the days of His judgement we will be found on the right side. That in those days we will agree with Him, and not form offense in our hearts.
Turn now, while the season is still fairly calm...

I love it that you're at IHOP these days. I'm glad to know you'll be around for a while, too. You have really come alive since you quit your job and started the internship. It's great to watch you grow.
Love you!!
